Estate and Trust Administration
Proper administration of probate estates and estate planning go hand-in-hand, which is one reason I do both.
I handled my first probate estate almost 30 years ago. Admitted to practice in the courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, I have represented clients in numerous probate proceedings in MD and DC. I also assist personal representatives, executors and beneficiaries on administrations in VA, including particularly the City of Alexandria and Fairfax County.
I’ve also advised or otherwise been involved in proceedings and ancillary administrations in NY, MA, FL, DE, TX, PA and NE, including by partnering with or retaining qualified counsel in other jurisdictions, or where appropriate, retaining or recommending local counsel in other jurisdictions.
My estate administration practice on behalf of clients includes post-mortem estate planning, seeking and obtaining statutory spousal and intestacy shares, contesting wills, advising on rights of beneficiaries of trusts and wills and petitioning for trust modification and reformation.
